The leak nobody talks about

You already quoted the job.
RoadMode helps you win it.

RoadMode is the estimate-to-review operating system for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing shops. It shows which customers are buying, why they are hesitating, and the exact next action to take — then carries the job through scheduling, Job Won, review recovery, referrals, and customer care.

The real leak

Open quotes die quietly between estimate sent and job won.

The customer does not always say no. Sometimes they click the quote three times, forward it to a spouse, check financing, and still get lost because nobody knows they are warm.

Why owners lose it

The shop already earned the opportunity. RoadMode helps protect the gap where most follow-up breaks down.

The tech moves to the next job.
The office gets buried under calls and schedule changes.
The owner cannot see which quotes are still alive.
The review ask gets forgotten after the job is won.

How RoadMode turns a quiet estimate into a booked, reviewed job

Four steps, about twenty seconds of your day. This is the actual RoadMode workflow — from the moment you quote the work to the 5-star review after the job’s done. No CRM, no data-entry marathon, no mystery texting number your customers don’t recognize.

1
20 seconds from the truck

Log the estimate

Capture the customer, quote, job details, findings, recommended next step, and photos in about 20 seconds. RoadMode creates the private Visit Summary and prepares the first follow-up.

2
Buyer-intent radar

Watch buyer intent

RoadMode tracks repeat views, financing activity, questions, decision-maker shares, section engagement, approvals, and scheduling signals. The owner sees who deserves attention now — not a vague follow-up list.

Next-action engine

Work the next action

The Next Steps carousel and Today’s Money Brief put the highest-value action at the owner’s fingertips: answer the question, send the text, confirm the schedule, reschedule, or mark Job Won.

Review & service recovery

Recover the review

Completed work moves directly into Review Recovery. Send the review text from the business phone, capture feedback, surface low ratings in Customer Care, and protect the relationship until the issue is resolved.

What the big platforms don’t do

The big platforms manage the job.
RoadMode watches the buyer.

RoadMode does not replace dispatch or invoicing. It owns the revenue gap between estimate sent, customer decision, scheduled work, Job Won, review, and service recovery.

Buyer-intent radar

Know who is active right now

Repeat views, financing activity, customer questions, decision-maker shares, approvals, scheduling, and meaningful page engagement create an explainable intent score — with the reason shown.

Next-action engine

One customer. One next move.

The Next Steps carousel sorts work by urgency and value. Answer the question, send the first text, confirm the schedule, reschedule, or mark Job Won without digging through the app.

Today’s Money Brief

The opportunities that matter today

RoadMode summarizes the top opportunities, what changed, what may be blocking the sale, and the next action. The owner starts with the money, not a dashboard full of totals.

Text-first communication

Texts from your business phone

RoadMode prepares the message and opens the phone’s native Messages app. Email is sent quietly as backup, and the conversation remains attached to the customer workspace.

Customer photos and proof

See what the customer sends

Customers can securely send equipment, damage, model-number, and access photos from their Visit Summary. The owner sees the gallery inside Pipeline and Customer Care.

Review and service recovery

Win the review. Recover the relationship.

Review requests are created from completed jobs. Positive feedback can move to Google; low feedback opens a Customer Care case with the conversation, rescheduling, and close-case workflow.

“RoadMode was built for trade owners who already quoted the job and need a simple way to stop the money from slipping away.”

Founder trust

A real person behind the recovery system.

RoadMode was built after seeing how much money small trade businesses lose after the estimate is already given. The phone rings, the tech shows up, the quote gets sent — then the follow-up depends on memory, sticky notes, missed texts, or whoever has time that day.

Wrench Grid built RoadMode to give small plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and roofing shops a simple way to see which quotes are still alive, who needs follow-up today, and when to request the review after the job is won.

No call centers. No mystery agency. No bloated software pitch. When you reach out, you are talking to the team building the system.

What happens first

Your first 14 days will be simple.

Wrench Grid provisions the workspace, verifies email and site readiness, and guides the owner through the first real estimate. The 14-day test begins only when RoadMode is ready to use.

The second engine

Win the job. Then protect the review and the relationship.

RoadMode turns completed work into a review workflow, while low feedback becomes a visible service-recovery case instead of disappearing in an inbox.

Zero re-typing. Mark a job Won and the review request creates itself — name, phone, job type already filled. One tap to send.
💬
The ask goes by text. It opens in your own Messages app, from the number they saved when you were in their driveway. Read in minutes — never in a spam folder.
🛡️
Feedback first, Google second — the compliant way. Every customer gets the Google review option (no rating-gating, so you stay inside Google’s and the FTC’s rules). Low ratings alert you instantly and privately, so you can make it right before it ever goes public.
🔔
Nothing slips. Pending reviews are tracked in your Buyer Signals and the morning Money Brief, and your phone buzzes the second feedback lands: “Great news — Harry left 5 stars.”

The 90-Day Trade Pipeline GuaranteeThe math: one recovered repair, replacement, install, roof, panel, water heater, repipe, or service upgrade estimate can cover months of RoadMode. If RoadMode doesn’t help your trade business — plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or roofing — win back at least one quoted job in 90 days, tell us and we’ll work with you until it does, or help you export your data and walk away clean.

Straight talk

Built for shops that run on calls, texts, and memory.

✓ RoadMode is for you if…

You quote HVAC repairs, AC replacements, changeouts, maintenance recommendations, water heaters, repipes, sewer lines, panel upgrades, roofs — any high-ticket estimate — and follow-up depends on somebody remembering. Built for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and roofing shops — anywhere high-ticket estimates go quiet.

Completed jobs don’t consistently turn into Google reviews.

You want the follow-up handled without adopting a heavy CRM, uploading your customer list, or paying per text.

✗ Skip it if…

Your team already lives in ServiceTitan, Jobber, or Housecall Pro every day and every quote is followed up until won or lost.

You want fully automated texting from a software number — RoadMode deliberately sends from your phone so texts always land and always get answered.

Questions owners ask

Before you start

Does this replace ServiceTitan, Jobber, or Housecall Pro?
No — and it doesn’t try to. Those platforms run your dispatch and invoicing. RoadMode owns the one thing they’re weakest at: what the customer does between “estimate sent” and “booked,” and turning that into your next move. Plenty of shops run RoadMode alongside a CRM just for the intent radar and review engine.
Do customers get texted automatically?
No, and that’s deliberate. RoadMode prepares the message and opens your phone’s own texting app — you tap send. That means texts come from the number the customer met on the job (so they get read and answered), and you never touch carrier registration, per-message fees, or spam filtering. Everything else — emails, tracking, alerts, scheduling — is automatic. And you decide whose phone sends: most owners keep all customer texting on the owner or office line, so techs never text from personal numbers unless you want them to.
What if the business uses an office phone instead of a mobile phone?

RoadMode can still use the office number as the public business number for calls and customer records. For outbound RoadMode texts, choose one authorized mobile phone — usually the owner, dispatcher, or office manager — and send from that phone’s native Messages app. If the office line already supports SMS through the phone provider, that SMS-enabled line can be used instead after testing. Do not replace the established office number or change the number shown on trucks, websites, or business cards. During setup, Wrench Grid confirms which number receives calls, which device sends texts, and who is responsible for the action queue.

How do the phone notifications work?
Turn them on in RoadMode’s alert settings. When a customer approves, asks a question, requests a time, taps financing, or forwards the estimate, your phone gets a push notification — even if you’re in another app. iPhone users add RoadMode to their Home Screen first (Apple’s rule for web push); Android works right away.
What happens when a customer leaves low feedback?
You’re alerted instantly so you can make it right before it becomes public. Every customer is also shown the Google review option — we don’t gate reviews by rating, which keeps you compliant with Google’s policies and FTC rules. Great service plus fast recovery is what actually builds a review profile.
Do I need to upload my customer list?
No. You start one estimate at a time, from the truck, in about 20 seconds. Your data stays yours — full export anytime.
How does the free trial and billing work?
Pick a plan, start the 14-day trial through secure Stripe checkout — you won’t be charged until day 15, and you can cancel in one click before then. During the founding window, setup is done for you by the founder, included free.
